Spelman College

Spelman College in Atlanta, a private, independent, liberal arts, historically Black college for women, was founded in 1881. Spelman College has at least three portfolio projects underway. They have a first year writing portfolio, a new Sophomore/Senior biology portfolio, and an Introduction to the Study of Religion portfolio.

The first year writing portfolio is assessed by faculty at the end of each year, this year, the "Jury" (as Spelman refers to it) is June 2-6, 2008. A sample first year writing portfolio can be viewed online.
