Tool Kit Rubric Revision 3

Attached is rubric that we, at San Mateo, are using to assess student writing
from our Writing Across the Curriculum classes at the end of every
semester. We also look at and assess the student reflection pieces
that are intended to explain why the students feel that the work they
post demonstrates progress toward a particular Institutional Student
Learning Outcome. Finally, we assess how well we
think the student work shows evidence of the chosen outcome. We have
found we need all three parts to get at what is happening on the
ePortfolios as well as students’ understanding of the ISLOs.
